  1. “It is a big change,” Mr. Mackey [Kellogs’s president and chief executive] said. “Where we can make the changes without negatively impacting the taste of the product, we will.”

Do you think this means, that if they remove all those ingredients that start with ‘hydro’ or end with ‘-nitrate’ or ‘-crose’ tc and the end product doesn’taste like boiled cardboard, then they willdo it?

  2. I doubt that they’ll do much in the way of changing ingredients, but it’s important that they are willing to rethink their ‘marketing to impressionable young minds’ strategy–even if they were pressured into the decision.

Now if we could just get the fast food chains to knock it off, we’ll be making some real progress.

  4. lol@ “you vain boots!”

Where do you come up with this stuff Mr. Roba-to? Classic! It’s like you’re a 65 year old woman trapped inside a scrawny, balding 30-year old’s body;-)

  5. I’m bringing back boots as a term of gentle mockery. This is something that, as an obsessive, over competitive English teacher, you should look at. We don’t need all these new fangled words. Whatever happened to scrofulous, niggardly and beelzebubbly? OK, I made the last one up but seriously, we’re reducing our vocabulary to reprehensible little acronyms like lol, brb, rofl, etc. These, in no uncertain terms, make me want to batter the user with a chair. Steve, you used lol in your reply there….I’m going to have to kill you the next time I see you. And I had such high hopes for you. Also, I’m not over the moon about you saying I have an old woman inside me. She wanted to go in there ok? It was HER decision.

Anyway dude, keep up the good work. Maybe write a blog on those acronyms. I have a lot of spleen to vent on such things.
